Sales force.com Overview

Salesforce.com is cloud computing PAAS application; it is very powerful CRM application, the beautiful part of this is easy to customize and most powerful part is it allows develop new apps with the existed CRM back ground, Means the app developer can use all existed functionalities of CRM for their applications development.

It is having basically 4 modules. They are System Overview, Personal Setup, App Setup,   and Administration Setup. 

System overview:

                Is used to monitor the usages of the total system like api usage, business logic usage etc. So the user can control his usages and can control his billing also.

Personal Setup:

                It is used for setting personal things like password management; email setups, desk top integrations etc.  With this module user can personalize the system as per his requirements.

App Setup:

                This is heart of sales force; this enables the user to develop custom apps by taking the advantage CRM as a backend. It uses a language called APEX to develop these apps.

              This is the part where sales force developers can work.

Administrators:

                This talks all about administration setups, like user creations, giving permissions for them, crating companies profiles, creating security controls or existing users, it will allows us to create templates for communications to have sophisticated communications. It also has translation setups for various languages, Data management setups to bring data from outside environment and inside environment. Monitoring the system to control in various levels, Mobile administration to get salesforce in to mobile, desk top setups to work in secured environment, setting up emails and Google apps.
